Abstract

The background to the problem in this research is that today's young generation is involved in drug problems, either as dealers or as dealers. This will get worse if left unchecked, therefore community and government figures are needed to prevent drug abuse among teenagers in Tambusai Tengah Village, Tambusai District. However, community leaders (Religious Leaders and Traditional Leaders) are not aligned in overcoming the problem of drug abuse in Dalu-dalu, Tambusai Tengah Village, Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau. This research aims to determine the efforts of the role of community leaders in overcoming drug abuse among teenagers in Dalu-Village. dalu, Tambusai Tengah Village, Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau and to find out the role of community leaders in efforts to prevent drug abuse among teenagers. Dalu-dalu, Central Tambusai Village, Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau. This research is a type of field research (Field Research) with a qualitative approach and using descriptive analysis. Informants in this research consisted of community leaders, youth leaders, religious leaders, sub-district heads. The data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. Meanwhile, data processing and analysis compiles and organizes data, then selects and describes the data. Next, the data validity technique uses triangulation. The results of this research show that in efforts to prevent the spread of drugs carried out by community leaders in Dalu-dalu village to collaborate with the police and army, as the role of the police and army in overcoming the growing problem of drug abuse in the community in the village is to provide security and maintain community confidentiality. especially to anticipate the presence of drugs. The role of community leaders in dealing with drugs among teenagers is by holding wirid yasin recitations once a week, ending with giving direction such as advising teenagers with bad behavior and at the end of every month giving lectures by religious figures about juvenile delinquency, especially the dangers of drugs.
