Abstract

Koi fish auctions through online media are always faced with problems carried out by irresponsible parties such as Bid and Run or declared winners but do not make payments, fraud, goods or fish sent are not suitable, fish sent carry diseases and fish sent experience death. Auction through online media is a new market breakthrough that in the future can have a major influence in the modern economy because it is easy to implement and does not recognize boundaries and time. So the author is interested in how the legal protection of koi fish auctions through online media with a case study at Saka Koi Jogja. This research is descriptive analytical, namely collecting and describing all data relevant to the scientific work written in this case is legal protection in koi fish auctions through online media with a case study at Saka Koi Jogja. If the required data has been collected, it will be compiled using a juridical-empirical approach. This approach focuses on facts in the field in accordance with the results of interviews and data obtained from applicable legal regulations and then linked to the concept of legal protection theory, agreements, auction agreements and online media. The results of research in the legal protection of koi fish auctions through online media include legal protection in the aspects of information transformation, validity of agreements and mechanisms for consumers and businesses as in Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions. Dispute resolution in koi fish auctions through online media is gradual from negotiation, mediation, arbitration to reporting to the police.
