Abstract

Sufi literature is part of the expression of Sufism teachings that uses various language devices in its delivery. It contains elements that describe the admiration, fear, and longing of a Sufi for God. However, in reality, Sufi literature is often looked down upon even by Islamic thinkers and focuses more on the study of Islamic jurisprudence. So that the moral content contained in Sufi poetry is only enjoyed within the limits of language aesthetics. Although several studies have begun to explore religious teachings in Sufi poetry, such as teachings of humanity, education, and divine love, researchers have not yet found any that specifically discuss religious plurality in the book Fi>hi Ma< Fi>hi by Jalaluddin Rumi. Based on the formulation of the problem in this study are as follows: what is the concept of religious plurality in Islam; and what is the concept of religious plurality in the book Fi>hi Ma< Fi>hi Jalaluddin Rumi. While the purpose of this study is to determine the concept of religious plurality in Islam and to determine Jalaluddin Rumi's thoughts on religious plurality in his book Fi>hi Ma< Fi>hi. The method used in the study uses library research to analyze Jalaluddin Rumi's poems. The analysis methods used include description, interpretation, and drawing conclusions. Primary data comes from Rumi's poetry book, while secondary data is obtained from various sources such as books, journals, and theses. The results of the study indicate that religious pluralism in Islam is a blessing from Allah SWT. which is revealed to His creatures, so that humans not only accept diversity but must also compete and work together in goodness. At this stage pluralism is defined as the equalization of the rights of every religious adherent to grow and develop without blaming each other. Religious pluralism in Fi>hi Ma< Fi>hi: "religion will not be one ..." shows that humans are created with diversity, and the concept of "Wahdat al-Adyan" (unity of religion) according to Rumi further explains that no matter how many paths are taken, the goal is one. The main goal of religious pluralism is to revive tolerance in order to achieve a peaceful and harmonious life.
