Abstract

There are students who have a bad attitude. Failure to comply with the rules is often late for school and a fatal mistake is often not doing the job assigned to the teacher. The thing they're passing through is the student's undisciplinary attitude. This is very much contrary to the purpose of the school to raise the morality, responsibility and discipline of its pupils. On the other hand, the researchers found that there are still students who have not applied discipline in the school neighborhood. In fact, this discipline is crucial in determining student success. Discipline is basically self-control in obeying good rules in the family environment, educational institutions and society. Students are the assets of a nation that must be educated to fill and maintain independence. It is therefore important to instill this discipline character in the school so that later when the student plunges into society the character of the discipline is already inherent in him. Counselling guidance is a service provided to students to help achieve goals in learning at school. One of the goals of students in character building education is to behave in a disciplined manner to obey school rules. SMK Sadewa provides Transactional Analysis Counselling service facilities to shape student discipline. The purpose of this study is to know, describe and analyse the transactional counselling method to shape the discipline of students of SMK Sadewa Yogyakarta. The type of research used is qualitative research. The data collection methods used are observation, interview, and documentation methods. In applying transactional analysis counselling, the counselling teacher uses group counselling services with several approaches in transactional analysis counselling, namely the role-playing method for counselling implementation and develops its implementation with 4 methods: structure analysis, transaction analysis, life script analysis, and games analysis. After using all four of these methods, the transactional analysis counselling students showed a responsible and conscious attitude to school regulations.
