Abstract

Youthmanual, which became a Skystar Ventures Tech Incubator startup at Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN), explained that research conducted within two years obtained information related to student profiles spread throughout Indonesia, found the fact that most students felt wrong in taking study programs in college. This results in stress in undergoing studies in college and difficulty in mastering the material. This study aims to determine the steps of classical guidance by Counseling Guidance teachers to class XII students at Colombo Sleman High School. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with data collection methods in the form of interviews and documentation. The subjects of this research were Counseling Guidance teachers and 2 grade XII students who were accepted by SNBP and 2 grade XII students who had doubts in making decisions in choosing majors during SNBP registration. The results of this study are the steps of classical guidance for fostering further studies in class XII at Colombo Sleman High School including 3 stages, namely (1) preparation which includes preparation of the implementation schedule and preparation of materials for classical guidance, (2) implementation which includes carrying out activities, documenting activities, and following up on things that need improvement, (3) evaluation and follow-up which includes evaluation of the classical guidance process and evaluation and results of classical guidance.
