Abstract

This final project is titled The Form of Celebrity Worship in the K-Pop NCT Fandom. (Phenomenological Study on NCTzen Yogyakarta). NCTzen is an abbreviation of NCT and Citizen, but the members of NCT also use another name for their fans. When written in Latin letters and pronounced "Sijeuni," it means seasons, and czens. This research aims to understand the form of celebrity worship fandom among NCTzens in Yogyakarta. This research was conducted using a qualitative research type with a phenomenological method. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and non-human sources. (dokumen dan data). After the interview is conducted, the data will be analyzed until it is ready to be presented in the form of a final project. The results of this study can be concluded that the form of celebrity worship in the NCTzen fandom in Yogyakarta experiences forms of entertainment social, intense-personal feeling, and only the third characteristic at borderline pathological. Meanwhile, fandom activities involve meaning making, meaning sharing, poaching, collecting, and knowledge building.
