Abstract

This study aims to examine how and how much influence library anxiety has on the fulfillment of library users' information needs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library. This research uses quantitative methods. The sample was taken from 100 active student respondents of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta with purposive sampling technique. The result obtained the coefficient of determination of 0,642 or 64,2%, meaning that the effect of anxiety in the library on the fulfillment of information needs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta Library is 64,2%. The nature of the influence of the two variables is positive, where the simple linear regression equation is Y = 4,203 – 0,334X. The results of hypothesis testing, obtained a |thitung| value of 13,268 so that it is greater than |ttabel| which is 1,660. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant and positive influence on library anxiety on the fulfillment of information needs. That is, the higher the anxiety in the library, the more information needs of the users will be fulfilled. This is due to other factors (X) that are not examined in this study
