Abstract

Economic growth is a component of development that is considered as one of the main markers indicating how rich or financially capable a country is. Economic growth that shows the real impact of the development policies implemented is one of the main measures used to assess the success of economic development, especially in Riau Islands Province. This study aims to examine the effect of investment as measured by the realization of capital expenditure, education as measured by the average length of schooling, labor as measured by the labor force participation rate, and technology as measured by data on households that own computers/laptops on economic growth in Riau Islands Province. The data used in this study are panel data from 7 districts / cities in Riau Islands Province for the period 2013-2023. The analysis technique used in this study is a static panel data analysis using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results showed that the independent variables of Education and Technology had a positive and significant effect on economic growth. Meanwhile, investment and labor have a negative and significant relationship to economic growth.
