Abstract

Economic growth is an important and tangible instrument in a country. In the context of economic growth today, much of the literature expresses a significant increase, so that this can be proven through an increase in the surge in the value of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). This research aims to further examine the influence of investment, corruption, inflation, labor, and trade openness, with this it can be seen the determinants of economic growth through several of these variables in the ASEAN region countries for the 2008-2022 period. In addition, this study uses static panel data testing analysis, so that statistical results can be found by showing various variants, especially in the variables of corruption and inflation have no effect on economic growth, while the other three variables together, investment, labor and trade openness have a positive and significant effect on economic growth. With this, it can simply be concluded that in the context of looking at the determinants of economic growth in the ASEAN region, it must be strengthened by utilizing investment, labor and trade openness of other socio-economic nature efficiently, so as not to lead to the grip of corruption and inflation in a country.
