Abstract
This research aims to: (1) find out the develop ment of the biology e module based on sets (Science, Environment, Technology, a nd Society) on biotechnology material for student of class X SMA/MA (2) find out the quality of the developed e module ; and ( find out the student responses of the developed e module . T his type of research is research and development (r&d) using the 4 D development model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). However, this research is limited to the develop stage. Data collection techniques were carried out through interview s and qu estionnaire s . The data collection instruments are in the form of e module quality assessment sheets and student response sheets. The quality assessment of this e module was carried out by 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 5 peer reviewer s , and 1 biology t eacher. Meanwhile, the assessment of the response to this e module was carried out by 15 students in class X of SMAN 1 Prambanan Klaten for the 2023/2024 academic year. The data obtained was analyzed using qualitative and quantitative descriptive anal ysis tec h niques The results of this research show that: ( a biology e module based on sets (Science, Environment, Technology, a nd Society) on biotechnology material for student of class X SMA/MA has been developed using 4 D model, but is limited to the devel op stage; (2) b ased on the overall reviewer s assessment the quality of the e module is categorized into Very Good with an ideality percentage of 92% 92%; and (3) s tudent response to this e module is categorized into Very Good with an ideality percentage of 90%. Thus, i t can be concluded that the biology e module based on sets (Science, Environment, Technology, a nd Society) o f biotechnology material is suitable for use as a biology teaching material for students of class X SMA/MA.
