Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Describe the main spirit of thought that became the background of the establishment of the Reyog Art Society of Watoe Dhakon Students of IAIN Ponorogo as a pilot actor in the internalization of Islamic education values in Reyog Art. 2) Describing the urgency of the internalization of Islamic education values in Reyog Art at the Reyog Art Society of Watoe Dhakon Students of IAIN Ponorogo. 3) To describe the internalization of Islamic education values in Reyog through a cultural approach at the Watoe Dhakon Student Reyog Arts Association of IAIN Ponorogo. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive qualitative field research design using a phenomenological approach. The data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interview techniques, and documentation techniques. The analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model, including data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study are entitled to the formulation of the problem and research objectives. First, the main idea underlying the establishment of PSRM Watoe Dhakon boils down to two things, namely; (1) Law number 12 of 2012 concerning talent interest, and (2) Preservation of Reyog Ponorogo art with a religious-academic style. Second, the urgency of internalizing Islamic educational values in Reyog art is based on the logic of “cause and effect”. The existence of problems in Reyog art makes it important to internalize Islamic education values. The purpose of this internalization is as a problem-solving action for all the problems that exist in Reyog art. Third, the internalization of Islamic education values in Reyog art at PSRM Watoe Dhakon is classified into two, namely; (1) Internalization in dance visualization which contains eight Islamic education values including patriot value, nationalist value/hubbul wathon, moral value, servant value, value of seeking knowledge/tholabul ilmi, tirakat/riyadhoh value, beauty value, and cooperation value. (2) Internalization in the cultivation of member character includes the value of obedience, the value of responsibility and seriousness, the value of da'wah and amar ma'ruf nahi munkar, academic value, tolerance and democratic value, and the value of friendship and respect for guests.
