Abstract

The phenomenon of radicalism in schools and the revision of material in KMA 165 to KMA 183 2019, clearly shows the discrepancy between output and ideal conditions in the school environment, as a preventive effort, the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia voiced religious moderation integrated in the curriculum, including through textbooks. This study aims to analyze the values of religious moderation in the SKI book and analyze the development aspects of the suitability of the material. This research uses qualitative research of library research type with historical and philosophical approach. The data sources of this research are divided into primary and secondary sources, namely SKI textbooks in Madrasah Aliyah class X published in 2020. Data collection techniques through documentation methods and data analysis techniques in this study using content analysis (Conten Analysis). The results of this study: First, the values of religious moderation in the SKI textbook published in 2020 at Madrasah Aliyah identified the values of religious moderation, while the values of religious moderation are Tawassuth, I'tidal, Tasamuh, Shura, Ishlah, Qudwah, Muwathanah, Tawazun, Musawah, Aulawiyah, Tahadhur, Tathawwur and Ibtikar. Second, the development of material contained in the Islamic cultural history textbook (SKI) class X Madrasah Aliyah published in 2020 in terms of the completeness of the material is appropriate, while in terms of the breadth of the material, and the depth of the content of the SKI material is still not fulfilled in the textbook.
