Abstract

This study aims to further look at how librarianpreneur develops precisely in the university libraries of the Special Region of Yogyakarta with case studies at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Library, UII, UMY, and UAD. Librarianpreneur abilities become an important ability that librarians should have, because they can improve the professionalism of librarians, the existence of librarians, discover new ideas and even earn additional income. This study is a qualitative study with case studies. Where data is obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation. Determination of informants by purposive sampling with data analysis techniques used in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study prove that the development of librarianpreneurs in the university library of the Special Region of Yogyakarta is still rare, most of them are not aware of their talents other than the field of librarianship Even so, it turns out that there are already those who carry out entrepreneurial activities, including becoming an Infopreneur, Blogger, Narrator in clinic research tools, installation services of SLiMS, and website creation services. In addition, this study also explains how the process and some constraints, efforts that librarians make in carrying out librarianpreneur activities. As for the advice given, librarians can improve even begin to learn more deeply and widely what a librarianpreneur is and librarians can also take advantage of the opportunities of librarianpreneur activities that exist in libraries
