Abstract

Waqf is a form of worship that has the potential to be used as an economic instrument that can help address poverty and improve the welfare of the community. This research aims to find a good strategy to increase the productivity of waqf land in Bantul Regency through management processes and institutional roles. The method used in this research is mixed method, which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods with data collection methods carried out through observation, indepth interviews with 5 respondents who are experts in the field of waqf. The data analysis used in this research is analytic Network Process (ANP) through superdecision 3.0 software. The results showed that Planning, Implementation and controlling are the top priorities in the waqf land management system with a rater agreement value of (W=0.180952) and for institutional roles, the priority is the Indonesian Waqf Board with a rater agreement value of (W=0.575758). Meanwhile, based on the results of interviews with respondents, there are still many other problems that become obstacles in increasing the productivity of waqf land such as waqf land certification, unqualified nazir, traditional waqf land management and limited funds for financing waqf land management. Thus, the strategies that can be carried out are to improve management, provide legal certainty for waqf land, and to improve the nazir of waqf land.
