Abstract

The noble character of students is the general goal of education, however, bad character is still found in students of State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency. This study aims to: 1) To determine how much influence the teacher's role model has on the character of students of State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency. 2) To determine how much influence the role model of parents has on the character of students of State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency. 3) To determine how much influence the role model of teachers and the role model of parents have on the character of students of State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency. This research method uses quantitative research that is correlational. The sample in this study was 304 students. The study was conducted from July to September 2024. The population in this study was 1271 students of State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency. The number of samples was calculated using the Slovin formula. Sampling using proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data collection using a Likert scale for teacher role model data, parent role model data and moral data. Data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results of the study showed: 1) The influence of teacher role models on the morals of students at State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency was 41.2%. 2) The influence of parental role models on the morals of students at State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency was 23.8%. 3) The influence of teacher role models and parental role models together on the morals of students at State Islamic Senior High School 2, Klaten Regency was 64.9%. This study emphasizes the importance of the role of teachers and parents in shaping students' morals through good examples. Therefore, synergy between schools and families is needed, as well as collaboration to improve students' moral development. In addition, further research is needed to identify other factors that influence students' morals, so that development can be carried out more comprehensively and effectively.
