Abstract

Education in Indonesia still emphasizes the substance of the material and output with conventional learning strategies so the resulting learning outcomes are still low. To achieve optimal results, teachers must be able to create learning conditions that are active, innovative, effective, and fun for students. One is using a cooperative model through the inside-outside circle strategy. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Inside Outside Circle strategy on learning outcomes and activeness in Indonesian language learning through the independent learning curriculum. The preliminary observations show that MIN 4 Muaro Jambi still uses conventional strategies to produce low student value output, especially the Indonesian language scores of fourth-grade students of MIN 4 Muaro Jambi. Therefore, the Inside Outside Circle strategy can be a solution to improving learning outcomes and student activeness. This research method uses a quantitative approach with the research type One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The sample and this study were all fourth-grade students of MIN 4 Muaro Jambi with a total of 32 students, namely class IVA as the control class and class IVB as the experimental class. Data collection techniques using tests, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include prerequisite tests, statistical tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of data analysis through statistical tests using SPSS in this study and hypothesis testing using paired sample t-test analysis showed an influence of the inside-outside circle strategy on student learning outcomes. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test, the Sig value. (2-tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in student learning outcomes before and after treatment. There is an effect on the inside-outside circle strategy on student learning activeness of 0.000 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in student activeness before and after being treated. The results of the test between variables show that there is an effect of the Inside Outside Circle Strategy on Learning Outcomes and Activeness in Indonesian Language Learning through the Independent Learning Curriculum for MIN 4 Muaro Jambi Students.
