Abstract

Non-Formal Education (NFE) significantly contributes to enriching children's knowledge that is not acquired through formal and informal education. One form of NFE in Indonesia is the Quran Education Center (TPA), which focuses on Islamic religious education. However, TPA faces various challenges, particularly in terms of administration and academic management, including the registration and monitoring of students' progress, both academically and in character development. To address these issues, the development of an Academic Information System is highly necessary. This system is expected to support TPA in managing student data, scheduling, and facilitating better communication between TPA administrators and parents. By leveraging information technology, TPA can improve operational efficiency, provide a better learning experience for students, and build stronger trust from parents towards this non-formal educational institution. The development of this system uses the Rapid Applications Development (RAD) method, which is designed to produce a high-quality system in a relatively short time and at an efficient cost. With an effective academic information system, TPA can play a more optimal role in educating the younger generation, especially in deepening their understanding of Islamic teachings through the Quran.
