Abstract

The yellowclassical book learning carried out by ustadz ustadzah as a teacher cannot be separated from the use of communication, especially persuasive communication. Persuasive communication techniques used by ustadz ustadzah in learning the yellow book with the aim that students can understand the message conveyed. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. Data collection methods with in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results obtained by researchers show that persuasive communication techniques are successfully applied by ustadz ustadzah to students in yellowclassical book learning at the Al-Munawwir boarding school, Nurussalam Krapyak Yogyakarta complex. The persuasive communication techniques include association techniques, integration techniques, reward techniques, styling techniques. The red herring technique is not used. The association technique in the yellowIslamic classic book learning method shows that in learning the teacher provides concrete examples so that students can understand the material easily. the integration technique in the learning method is the use of Indonesian language in learning. the reward technique in the learning method where the teacher gives appreciation or reward if he succeeds in doing something. the stylistic technique in the learning method is that the teacher prepares the material by looking for other references as a way to prepare the material to be delivered. However, behind the success in applying persuasive communication techniques there are also obstacles that occur. Obstacles also exist in the lack of concentration of students during learning and reciprocity that should be done by students.
