Abstract
Land is a basic need that is important for economic activities such as agriculture and housing. Land sales transactions often cause disputes due to inaccurate information or legal issues. Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK) through the Consumer Dispute Resolution Agency (BPSK) functions to resolve land sales disputes and protect consumer rights. The research conducted at BPSK Yogyakarta was to determine consumer rights violated by business actors based on UUPK and the suitability of the form of BPSK decisions based on the principle of consumer protection. The type of research used in this study is field research, namely research by taking primary data through interviews with consumers, business actors, and the BPSK Yogyakarta assembly that handles disputes. Secondary data is also obtained through legislation and literature studies related to the dispute. This research is descriptive analysis with an empirical legal approach. The theory used in this study is the theory of agreements, consumer protection, and dispute resolution. Based on the results of the first study, consumer rights were violated by business actors because they provided inaccurate information regarding land conditions. Second, the BPSK's decision on the dispute is in accordance with the principles of consumer protection. This is proven by BPSK's commitment to considering the rights and obligations of each party by providing space to express their opinions.
