Abstract

Weeds are plants that grow wild and their presence is considered detrimental. Weeds have the potential to make organic fertilizer because they contain nutrients that can increase plant growth. This research aims to determine the potential of the weeds C. mucunoides, C. odorata and A. gangetica as compost fertilizer on the growth of pak choy plants. The research design used single factor RAL with 6 treatments, namely 2 control treatments and 4 combinations of the weeds C. mucunoides, C. odorata and A. gangetica. Observations were made every 4 days. This research was carried out from August to October 2024. The data measured plant height, number of leaves, leaf width, wet weight, dry weight and leaf chlorophyll content. Qualitative data was analyzed descriptively and quantitative data was analyzed statistically using SPSS. The analysis results showed that the best treatment for plant height, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight was a combination treatment of C. odorata and A. gangetica weeds. The best treatment for leaf width is a combination treatment of the weeds C. mucunoides, A. gangetica and C. odorata. It can be concluded that compost fertilizer affects plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, wet weight, dry weight and chlorophyll content of pak choy plants.
