Abstract

The management of educational facilities and infrastructure is an important challenge for educational institutions, including Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ma'arif Sokorini, Muntilan, Magelang. Based on initial observations, this madrasah faces obstacles in the form of the absence of a structured inventory system, so that asset management is less than optimal and risks the effectiveness of the learning process. This study aims to identify the actual condition of facilities and infrastructure management and strategies to improve its management. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were based on the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was guaranteed through triangulation of sources and techniques, which involved comparing information from various methods and sources. The results showed that the management of facilities and infrastructure in MI Ma'arif Sokorini includes the stages of planning, procurement, storage, distribution, inventory, maintenance, elimination, and supervision. However, the weakness in the inventory system is still manual and does not have a management SOP document which causes less than optimal asset utilisation. The strategies carried out in the school include stricter supervision by the principal of the management of facilities and infrastructure and strengthening collaboration with stakeholders.
