Abstract
This research aims to identify and describe the strategic management implemented by the school principal in improving graduate quality at SD Negeri Lempuyangwangi Yogyakarta during the 2023-2024 academic year. Graduate quality is a crucial indicator of educational success at the elementary level. The research findings are expected to provide a comprehensive overview of the principal's strategies, from the processes of formulation, implementation, to evaluation, in enhancing student graduate quality. This research employed a qualitative method, utilizing interviews, observation, and documentation techniques for data collection. Informants were selected using purposive sampling, where the researcher intentionally chose individuals deemed most relevant, knowledgeable about the subject matter, and possessing a thorough understanding of the phenomenon under investigation. The research subjects were chosen based on the 3M principle: knowing, understanding, and directly experiencing the research theme. Data analysis involved transcription, coding, comparing and contrasting, and interpreting. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation The findings indicate that the strategic management of the principal at SD Negeri Lempuyangwangi Yogyakarta implements strategic management to enhance the quality of graduates. This is achieved through formulation that engages the entire school community in establishing the direction and objectives of the school's vision and mission. The implementation phase emphasizes improving the quality of learning and student development, exemplified by routine "sargi" activities conducted before morning classes. Periodic evaluations involving various stakeholders are also carried out to ensure target achievement. SD Negeri Lempuyangwangi prioritizes the holistic quality of educational output, encompassing cognitive, affective, and learning environment aspects. The school focuses on developing responsible, independent, and morally upright students, extending beyond mere academic achievement
