Abstract

As a place that provides various medical needs, the availability of products on time and in sufficient quantities is very important to ensure optimal service to customers. Based on the percentage data on reasons for canceling purchases in Yogyakarta over the past five months, it shows that the most common reason for canceling product purchases is because the product stock is empty in the store. Thus, an efficient inventory control system is needed to maintain a balance between demand and availability of goods. Therefore, this study aims to analyze an optimal inventory control system for medical device products at PT. XYZ Yogyakarta branch using the ABC analysis, forecasting, and Min-Max methods, so that it can provide the right solution for the sustainability of the company's operations. The results of this study indicate that product grouping using the ABC analysis method is considered more optimal for classifying products based on the total revenue generated by the company because products with the class A category have a higher amount of revenue compared to the product classification method used by the company. Then, the most optimal product forecasting is carried out using the ARIMA method with the estimated demand for A1c meter products in March 2025 being 118 units. In addition, the application of the Min-Max method to the restock system provides its own advantages because it is able to provide clear boundaries in determining when to reorder and how much needs to be ordered.
