Abstract

The rapid development of information technology in Indonesia has significantly impacted various aspects of life, including the learning process in higher education institutions. The utilization of technology, particularly gadgets, is believed to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and flexibility of teaching and learning. However, the pervasive use of gadgets, which have become a primary need for students, also presents both positive and negative implications for their daily behavior. This quantitative research aims to analyze the influence of gadget usage intensity on the religiosity behavior of students residing in the Bangka Belitung regional dormitory in Yogyakarta. The method employed is survey research, with questionnaires as the primary data collection instrument. Data were analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results indicate a positive and significant influence of gadget usage intensity on students' religiosity behavior, with a significance value of 0.007 (p < 0.05) and a t-value of 2.756 (t-calculated > t-table 1.984). This signifies that the zero hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The intensity of gadget usage accounts for 7% of the variance in religiosity behavior, while the remaining 93% is influenced by other factors outside the intensity of gadget usage.
