Abstract
The tourism industry has changed the lives of millions of people with economic growth, job opportunities, and the preservation of local culture. This can be seen from the extent of community participation in tourism development. Community participation is part of one of the principles of tourism development and development. This study examines the process of community participation in the development of Umbul Nogo Tourism through shares and the economic impacts of local communities caused by this participation. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis methods used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the process of community participation in the development of Umbul Nogo Tourism through community shares is carried out through the process of identifying potential and problems, sorting and deciding solutions, implementing efforts to overcome problems, and evaluating changes that occur. The impact of community participation shows that the management of Umbul Nogo has a significant influence on the economic aspects of the local community.
