Abstract
Work stress has become a concerning phenomenon in the modern workplace, including in Indonesia. Various preventive measures have been implemented to address and mitigate work-related stress, such as stress management training, counseling services, and regular recreational activities. However, a significant number of employees still experience alarming levels of stress. Based on this issue, this study aims to examine the relationship between Adversity Quotient and Spiritual Health with work stress among employees of PT. X in East Kalimantan. This research employs a correlational quantitative method, involving 127 respondents selected through non probability sampling. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires consisting of a work stress scale, an Adversity Quotient scale, and a Spiritual Health scale. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of Jamovi software. The results indicate that Adversity Quotient has a non-significant positive relationship with work stress, while Spiritual Health shows a non-significant negative relationship with work stress. Simultaneously, both variables do not contribute significantly to reducing work stress. The implications of this study suggest the need for a comprehensive evaluation of the work system, ensuring that efforts are not solely focused on strengthening employees' personal aspects. Additionally, to prevent work stress among employees, PT. X in East Kalimantan is advised to explore other variables influencing work stress, particularly external factors such as work environment, role conflict, workload, and peer pressure.
