Abstract

This study is behind the lack of contextual biology based on local potential and students' misconceptions in understanding growth and development materials in plants. This study aims to: 1) know the morphology and phenology of Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn.), 2) develop a morphological and phenological atlas of Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn.), 3) know the feasibility of the developed product.feasibility of the products developed. This research is a type of RnD (Research and Development) research, descriptive qualitative method and ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implement, Evaluation) for the development research model by limiting it to only the Development stage. The research of morphologycal is morphology of habitus, leaf, stem, root, and flower. The research of Phenologycal showed that flower of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn. has a development process of flower in 26 days, with 18 days of flower initiation phase, 6 days of pre anthesis phase 1 day of anthesis phase, and 1 day of post anthesis phase. The atlas product development use Adobe Indesign V.20.3.1 and Figma with the result of atlas is printed. The product was assessed using an assessment instrument in the form of a checklist questionnaire sheet. The product was assessed by 1 material expert, 1 media expert, 5 peer reviewer, 1 biology teacher, and 15 responses from students of class XI SMA Negeri 10 Yogyakarta. The result of the overall assessment of atlas products according to assessors was excelent, with an ideal percentage of material expert at 96%, media expert at 93%, from peer reviewers at 93%, from biology teacher at 93% and from the students of SMA N 10 Yogyakarta at 92%. Biology Atlas Morphologycal and Phenologycal of Hibiscus plant (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn.) can be used as a source of biological learning.
