Abstract

Facilities and infrastructure are essential components in supporting the success of the educational process in schools. Proper management of facilities and infrastructure can improve the quality of learning and support the achievement of educational goals. This study discusses the seven (7) control functions of facilities and infrastructure management, which include planning, procurement, storage, distribution, inventory, maintenance, and disposal. The study found that the facilities and infrastructure at SMK Al Syairiyah Limpung, Batang, Central Java are still considered incomplete. This research aims to describe the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMK Al Syairiyah Limpung, Batang, Central Java, in an effort to improve the quality of education. The study uses a qualitative approach conducted at SMK Al-Syairiyah, with the main subjects being the principal, the vice principal for facilities and infrastructure, and the vice principal for curriculum. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. To ensure the validity of the data, the researcher used source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMK Al-Syairiyah Limpung has been carried out well, although there is no storage room or warehouse, and there are no established procedures for disposal. There are obstacles in the management of facilities and infrastructure; however, SMK Al Syairiyah has solutions to address these challenges. In addition to the obstacles, supporting factors also contribute to the implementation of facilities and infrastructure management.
