Abstract

Students have an important role in increasing motivation and learning discipline which is the basis for creating better learning achievements. The role of students is very relevant to increasing the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an and forming a generation that is not only knowledgeable, but also has good morals. Therefore, it is important for students to support each other dan share experiences, dan create effective learning methods to increase motivation dan discipline. In this context, students not only function as recipients of knowledge, but also as movers, motivators, dan organizers of activities that can increase the enthusiasm for learning among their friends. By conducting group discussions, mentoring, or community-based learning activities, students can encourage each other to further explore the teachings of the Qur'an. The importance of the role of students in increasing motivation dan learning discipline is the foundation for creating better learning achievements. Therefore, research on the role of students in this context is very relevant to improve the effectiveness of learning the Qur'an dan forming a generation that is not only kNowledgeable, but also has good morals. TPA Al-Ihsan is an Al-Qur’an Education Park located in the Da’watul Islam Mosque, Ngentak Sapen, where the TPA was formed by the Takhmir Masjid in collaboration with local teenagers dan students who live around the mosque. In teaching dan learning activities, there are several problems, one of which is the lack of interest dan enthusiasm for learning from the children of the TPA, as well as the interest of local youth to take part in participating in learning activities, with these problems, the role of students is needed, Based on this phenomenon, the author formulates three problems, namely: 1. How do students improve the learning motivation of TPA Al-Ihsan students at the Da’watul Islam Mosque in Yogyakarta, 2. What do students do as TPA teachers to improve the learning motivation of TPA students, 3. What are the patterns dan forms of learning motivation dan are carried out as an alternative in teaching reading the Qur'an. The research method used by the author in this study is field research directly to the TPA Al-Ihsan Da'watul Islam Mosque Yogyakarta so that clear data is obtained dan data collection techniques are interviews dan documentation. Based on the data collected, it is then analyzed using the structural functional theory of achieving goals. Based on the results of the study, the author obtained the results that there are several actions used by motivators in increasing learning motivation, namely (1) giving rewards dan punishments (2) forming study groups, (3) using effective learning methods. Then the author also found patterns dan forms of increasing learning motivation, namely in giving rewards dan punishments: when children diligently attend Al-Qur'an learning they are given rewards, when children are active they are given rewards, when children come late they are given punishments, when children are Not serious about following Al-Qur'an learning they are given punishments. In forming groups, namely the Abu Bakar As-shiddiq group (Iqra 1 to 2), the Umar Bin Khattab group (Iqra 3 to 4), the Usman Bin Affan group (Iqra 5 to 6), the Ali Bin Abi Thalib group (Al-Qur'an). Finally, the use of effective learning methods is using the Tahsin method, using perfect learning media, through the development of learning materials, dan learning evaluation.
