Abstract
The advancement of digital technology has driven transformation across various sectors, including the music industry. One of the key needs for musicians is access to proper music studios for practice and recording. However, the process of finding and booking studios is still often conducted manually and inefficiently. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop Soundspace, an Android-based mobile application that helps users easily discover, compare, and book music studios online. The application was developed using the waterfall methodology, covering the stages of planning, requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and evaluation. Soundspace features studio search based on location, category (practice/recording), price, and availability schedule. The app also includes an integrated booking system, user reviews, and a dedicated dashboard for studio owners to manage their profiles and schedules. Application testing was carried out using the black-box method and yielded satisfactory results in terms of functionality and usability. The final product of this thesis is the Soundspace application, which offers an innovative solution for the digitalization of music studio rental services, while also enhancing visibility and operational efficiency for studio business owners. With a broad potential market among independent musicians and creative communities, Soundspace is expected to contribute positively to the growth of the local music ecosystem.
