Abstract

The polemic of the prophet's lineage has sparked debate in the public sphere, including debate in online and print media. The media has become a disseminator of information about the polemic of the prophet's lineage. One of the mass media that makes news is Tempo Magazine.This study aims to find out and increase insight into the development of the polemic of the prophet's lineage to the public in the form of a discourse network of the polemic of the prophet's lineage in Tempo Magazine. This study uses a qualitative approach with discourse network analysis initiated by Pilip Leifild and Van Djik's analysis and Peter Berger's discourse construction theory as the analytical blade. In the results of the study, there are three types of discourse networks, namely actors, concepts and affiliations in the Tempo Magazine edition of the habib title. The main actor was found Taufiq bin Abdul Qodir as the chairman of Rabithah Alawiyah and a marginal actor related to the cancellation of the lineage, namely Imaduddin Utsman.
