Abstract

The rapid development of digital media presents podcasts as one of the new da'wah mediums of interest to the younger generation. One of them is the "Escape" podcast hosted by Reymond Chin and Ustadz Felix Siauw, especially the episode entitled "The Best Religion in Indonesia?!" which became the episode with the most viewers. This research aims to analyze the religious representation of 'The Best Religion in Indonesia?!' The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data is then analyzed using Charles Sanders Peirce's triadic semiotics. The analysis knife used in this research is Stuart Hall's representation. The results showed that the representation of religion in the 7th episode entitled 'The Best Religion in Indonesia?!' displays a complex and dynamic meaning. The representation of religion in the Escape podcast shows that religion is positioned dynamically, reflective, and open to interpretation. Religion is not only positioned as a normative theological system, but also as a social, political, and cultural symbol that is closely related to the reality of modern society.
