Abstract

Empowerment is an effort to achieve community welfare. As agents of change, the presence of youth with adequate capabilities is needed to realize sustainable empowerment. The Youth Village Mobilizer Cadre Program (P3D) in Soropaten and Jangkungan Hamlets serves as a community initiative to encourage youth contributions in empowerment. This program focuses on enhancing youth capacity through learning processes related to leadership, advocacy, and community organizing. Through a dynamic approach and active discussions, the program highlights learning themes concerning environmental, social, and religious issues. Evaluation is an essential step in any program as a basis for determining future strategies. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with the CIPP evaluation model. The evaluation results indicate that the P3D program has succeeded in improving youth capacity but has not yet succeeded in enhancing youth capability in Soropaten and Jangkungan Hamlets.
