Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial awareness on cash waqf intentions among the Muslim community in Depok District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, with religiosity as a moderating variable. Financial awareness in this study is viewed through four main dimensions: financial capability, financial willingness, financial sophistication, and financial locus of control. Cash waqf was chosen as a research factor due to its significant potential to support social and economic development, yet community participation in cash waqf remains relatively low. This study used a quantitative approach with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as its theoretical basis. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to Muslims who met age and income criteria. Data analysis was performed using WarpPLS 8.0 to examine the relationship between variables and the moderating role of religiosity. The results showed that all financial awareness variables had a positive and significant effect on cash waqf intentions. When moderated by religiosity the results indicated that religiosity strengthened the influence of financial sophistication and financial locus of control on cash waqf intentions.
