Abstract

This research aims to learn about the recreational functions of librarians that can be produced through Ganesha Cinemax service in Ganesha Library SMA N 1 Jetis Bantul. This type of research in this study uses qualitative research with methods of descriptive approach. Subjects in this research are libraries and librarians of Ganesha Library SMA N 1 Jetis Bantul, while the object of research is Ganesha Cinemax as a supporter of the recreational function of the library. The data collection technique in this study uses observations, interviews, and documentation. This study uses data validity tests, namely data credibility tests (Triangulation technique, Triangulation source, Time triangulation), transferability tests, reliability testing, confirmation tests. The process of data analysis in this study is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. Through this research, the results were obtained that the analysis of the recreational functions of librarians produced through Ganesha Cinemax is as follows: creating a life of equality between physics and spirituality, fostering the interest of recreational libraries through the use of free time, encouraging various creative activities as well as positive entertainment, creating a feeling of comfort and pleasure for libraries, cultivating the motivation or spirit of learning for librars. The obstacles experienced during the implementation of Ganesha Cinemax are divided into internal and external. Internal obstacles are the determination of the films to be broadcast, the system of registration of viewers, and the timing of the execution of Ganehsa Cinemax. Whereas external obstacles such as space capacity, room permissions, and Wi-Fi Quality
