Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of students’ understanding of waste and natural materials, as well as the lack of learning media that integrate theoretical concepts with practical applications in everyday life. Biology learning is still dominated by conventional methods that do not sufficiently engage students in exploration and investigation activities, leading to low learning motivation and poor achievement of student competencies. The objectives of this research are to: 1) Develop a design for a Project-Based Learning (PjBL)-based Eco Enzyme ELKPD as a learning medium for high school/MA biology; 2) Determine the feasibility of the PjBL-based Eco Enzyme E-LKPD based on evaluations by material experts and media experts; and 3) Assess the practicality of the PjBL-based Eco Enzyme E-LKPD based on teacher and student responses. The research method employed was research and development (R&D) using the 4D model adapted from Thiagarajan, limited to the develop stage. The E-LKPD was developed using the Canva platform in a website format. The product was tested for feasibility by two material experts and two media experts, and for practicality by two biology teachers and 32 students. Data were collected using evaluation questionnaires with a 5-point Likert scale. The results showed that the material expert evaluation reached 88.5%, media expert evaluation 94.5%, teacher evaluation 91.5%, and student evaluation 89.5%. Based on these results, the Project-Based Learning-based Eco Enzyme ELKPD developed in this study is considered highly feasible and highly practical for use in high school/MA biology learning.
