Abstract

The development of digital media, particularly YouTube, has opened new spaces for delivering da’wah in a more interactive way and reaching a wider audience, including young people and urban communities. The program Berbeda Tapi Bersama on the Noice Channel serves as a forum for interfaith dialogue led by Habib Ja’far with a religious moderation approach. This study analyzes the da’wah messages in the program from the perspective of religious moderation using a qualitative descriptive content analysis method through observation and documentation. The analysis focuses on messages of aqidah, sharia, and akhlaq, as well as indicators of religious moderation, including nationalism, tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodation of local culture. The findings show that Habib Ja’far consistently emphasizes aqidah messages through the affirmation of monotheism, the prohibition of polytheism, the strengthening of faith in the Prophet, and the position of the Qur’an as guidance. The sharia aspect is reflected in the emphasis on prayer as an act of worshipful obedience, while akhlaq is conveyed through the principle of “hablum minallah, hablum minannas, hablum minal makhluq,” highlighting the importance of harmonious relations with God, fellow humans, and all creatures. From the perspective of religious moderation, Habib Ja’far demonstrates tolerance by accepting interfaith greetings, upholds anti-violence through peaceful dialogue, and accommodates local culture by linking religious traditions to Islamic values. These findings indicate that religious diversity is not a barrier to dialogue but instead fosters tolerance, strengthens anti-violence values, and opens pathways for peaceful interfaith relations.
