Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students to learn the main material of cells due to the limited use of teaching materials that have an attractive appearance in schools. This study has the following objectives: 1) To determine the development of biology e-modules based on discovery learning and heyzine flipbooks on the subject of cells for grade XI students at MAN Temanggung. 2) To determine the quality of the developed biology e-modules. 3) To determine the response of grade XI students of MAN Temanggung to the developed biology e-modules. This Research and Development (R&D) study uses the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The subjects in this study consisted of 1 media expert, 1 material expert, 5 peer reviewers, 1 biology teacher, and 30 grade XI students of MAN Temanggung. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and questionnaires. The instruments used were questionnaires from media experts, material experts, peer reviewers, biology teachers, and student responses. Based on the research results, it shows that: 1) This research develops teaching material products in the form of e-modules based on discovery learning and heyzine flipbooks on the main material of cells for class XI students of MAN Temanggung which are developed using the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), but is limited to the development stage, 2) The quality of the biology e-module product based on discovery learning and heyzine flipbooks on the main material for class XI students at MAN Temanggung based on the assessment of the validator is classified as very good with an ideal percentage of 90%, 3) The response of class XI students of MAN Temanggung to the biology e-module based on discovery learning and heyzine flipbooks on the main material of cells is very good with an ideal percentage of 89%.
