Abstract

Academic stress is a condition in which a person experiences pressure related to their academic demands and responsibilities. Resilience and an attitude of tawakal (trust in God) can help prevent it. This study focuses on the academic stress experienced by students living in Islamic boarding schools. This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience, tawakal, and academic stress among Islamic college students in Yogyakarta who live in boarding schools. This study employed a correlational quantitative approach with 173 participants, including 79 male and 94 female students. The sampling technique used in this study was quota sampling. The measurement tools used were the Academic Stress Scale, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), and the Tawakal Scale. Multiple linear regression (F-test) was used for the analysis. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between resilience, tawakal, and academic stress, with a significance value of 0.416 (p > 0.05). Based on demographic analysis, demographic variables have no relationship to academic stress.
