Abstract
The plants found in the environment of MAN 1 Sleman, particularly angiosperm species, represent a local potential that can be utilized as a learning resource in the biology learning process. This study aims to identify the inventory of angiosperm plants in the MAN 1 Sleman environment, develop an angiosperm plant encyclopedia, and determine the feasibility of the developed product. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using an exploratory survey method. The development process applies the 4-D model, which includes the stages of define, design, development, and disseminate. The product was evaluated by one material expert, one media expert, five peer reviewers, one biology teacher, and 15 tenth-grade students of MAN 1 Sleman. The collected data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The findings revealed 51 species of angiosperm plants that can be utilized as medicinal plants and ornamental plants. The results of the encyclopedia feasibility test showed that the material expert gave a score of 80% (good category), the media expert 97% (very good category), peer reviewers 98% (very good category), the biology teacher 97% (very good category), and students 91% (very good category). Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed angiosperm plant encyclopedia is feasible to be used as a biology learning resource for senior high schools and madrasah aliyah.
