Abstract

In biology learning, students experience difficulties in the sub material of plant reproductive systems. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on the development of innovative instructional materials. This study aims to identify the development process of a Deep Learning Oriented and Islamically Integrated Student Worksheet (LKPD) on the sub material of plant reproductive systems for eleventh-grade SMA/MA students, as well as to determine the quality and student responses toward the product. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study using the Four-D (4-D) model, limited only to the development stage. Data collection began with interviews, followed by the distribution of questionnaires. The research instrument consisted of Likert scale questionnaires (1-5). The product was validated by one material expert, one media expert, three peer reviewers, and one biology teacher. A limited trial was conducted involving 10 eleventh grade SMA/MA students. The obtained data were then analyzed descriptively, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of this study include a printed instructional material product titled “Deep Learning Oriented and Islamically Integrated Student Worksheet (LKPD) on the Sub Material of Plant Reproductive Systems for Eleventh Grade SMA/MA Students”. The product was developed using the Four-D (4-D) research model without the dissemination stage. The quality assessment of the product obtained a “Very Good” (SB) category with an ideal percentage of 92%. Student responses to the product were also 92%, categorized as “Very Good” (SB). Thus, the deep learning oriented and Islamically integrated LKPD on the sub material of plant reproductive systems can be used as biology teaching material for eleventh grade SMA/MA students.
