Abstract
This research was motivated by the lack of optimal learning media. Student worksheets (LKPD) learning media present experimental and demonstration methods, both individually and froup. This allows students to further develop their knowledge, creativity, and critical thinking. The benefits of LKPD media include: fors, providing guidance for teachers in achieving learning abjectives, secobd, increasing student interest and learning outcom. This research was conducted to improve student learning outcomes by using LKPD media, the teaching and learning process becomes easy and interesting so that students can understand and comprehend the lessons easily, student learning efficiency can be increased, providing a comprehensive experience in learning so that students can understand in real terms, students are involved in the learning process so that students participate actively and students have the opportunity to be creative in developing their potential. The development model used in this research was Borg and Gall’s model. The product was then validated by experts to assess its feasibility. The field trial design was conducted at MI Tahfiz El Muna Q. Data were collected through observation, interviews, pre-tests, and post-tests. The collected data were then analyzed using a paired t-test to determine the level of significance and an n-gain test to measure the effectiveness of the product. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The product developed is a Student Worksheet (LKPD) on the topic of Recognizing Life Cycles in Living Beings for Grade III, designed with a pesantren-based learning approach. The product has undergone expert validation and field trials; (2) The results of the expert validation show that the product obtained an average score of 94.4, while the teacher’s assessment gave a score of 98.5. Based on these scores, the product is categorized as highly feasible for use in the learning process; (3) The effectiveness of the product was measured using the n-gain score, which yielded a value of 0.17. This value falls within the medium to high effectiveness category, indicating that the learning model is fairly effective when implemented through the LKPD. Statistical analysis using the paired t-test produced a significance value of p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results after the implementation of the learning model. Furthermore, effect size analysis using Cohen’s d yielded a value of 2.27, which is categorized as very large, demonstrating that the learning model has a highly positive and enthusiastic impact on students’ learning outcomes. Thus, the pesantren-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) on Recognizing Life Cycles in Living Beings has been proven effective in improving the learning outcomes of Grade III students at MI Tahfiz El Muna Q.
