Abstract

The demands in the world of education today are very complex, education must be balanced between general science and religion. SMA IT Baitussalam provides another perspective in the world of education, namely the integration of the national curriculum, namely independent learning with the pesantren curriculum in providing the basis for religious education. The main focus in the independent learning curriculum is the emphasis on project-based learning and character building. Meanwhile, the pesantren curriculum provides an Islamic-based education perspective with a traditional education system typical of Islamic boarding schools. The research method used is qualitative, descriptive, analytical, which is carried out directly in the field. The data sources in this study are divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data. Techniques in data collection are taken by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data obtained by the researcher was tested using the triangulation technique. The researcher uses Miles, Hubermen's theory in analyzing analysis which includes data condensation, presenting data and conclusions/verification. The results of this study show that: first, the model of education management strategies in integrating the independent learning curriculum and the pesantren curriculum at SMA IT Baitussalam is to use an integrated model (integrated) and a separate (parallel) model. Second, the implementation of the integrated model is used in schools by integrating Islamic values with a deep learning approach, while the separate model is implemented in project-based dorm programs. Therefore, it can be concluded that the form of integration in the implementation of the two curricula is in the cultivation of the values of the two curricula that complement each other. Third, evaluation and follow-up in management strategies show a positive impact on increasing student learning motivation, increasing academic achievement and strengthening the character of students. Evaluation and follow-up in management strategies showed an increase in student learning motivation, an increase in academic achievement and a strengthening of student character.
