Abstract

The management of the tahfidz program plays an important role in improving the quality of students‘ Qur‘anic memorization through the Quantum Tahfidz Al-Qur‘an (QTA) Program using the TIQUI TACA method. This study aims to focus on three main aspects: (1) identifying the implementation of the management of the Quantum Tahfidz Al-Qur‘an program at SMA Takhassus Al-Qur‘an Wonosobo; (2) analyzing the reasons for implementing the Quantum Tahfidz Al-Qur‘an program at SMA Takhassus Al-Qur‘an Wonosobo; and (3) examining the implications of the management of the Quantum Tahfidz Al-Qur‘an program for optimizing the quality of students‘ memorization at SMA Takhassus Al-Qur‘an Wonosobo. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using both primary and secondary data sources. Primary data were obtained directly from the research site, namely SMA Takhassus Al-Qur‘an Wonosobo. Secondary data were collected through the exploration of various references from social media, relevant expert opinions, and related previous studies. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis was conducted continuously from the beginning of data collection through data condensation, data display, and data verification, which were strengthened by triangulation and member checking until final research findings were obtained. The results of the study indicate that: (1) the management of the QTA program is implemented through four main management functions, namely planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision and evaluation. The program is designed with structured memorization targets and supported by innovative learning methods. However, the application of tahfidz learning tailored to students‘ learning modalities has not been fully implemented. (2) The implementation of the QTA program is motivated by the school‘s need to present a distinctive flagship program as well as a form of innovation in tahfidz education that is more effective and enjoyable. (3) The implications of the management of the QTA program are evident in the optimization of the quality of students‘ memorization, as indicated by the achievement of memorization targets, namely students are able to complete 30 juz within 2–3 years, with memorization quality that meets the standards of makharij al-huruf and tajwid, and memorization that can be academically accounted for. Nevertheless, in order to further enhance the quality of memorization, it can be strengthened by memorizing the Qur‘an accompanied by an understanding of the meanings of the verses, so that memorization is not merely oral but also meaningful.
