Abstract

Teacher performance is a fundamental aspect that determines the quality of the learning process and outcomes in educational units. Improving this performance requires effective human resource management support through the implementation of talent management, strengthening professional competencies, and developing spiritual values in the work environment. In addition, self-efficacy is an internal psychological factor that also influences teachers' ability to carry out their professional duties. This study aims to determine the partial influence of talent management, spiritual management, and professional competence on teacher performance at MAN 5 Sleman. It also aims to determine the influence of talent management, spiritual management, and professional competence on teacher performance through self-efficacy as a mediating variable. The research method used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design and survey technique. The population used in this study was all 49 teachers at MAN 5 Sleman. The sampling technique was non-probability sampling with saturated sampling, while data collection was conducted through questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The development of instruments was based on variable indicators and the validity of the data was tested through expert validation as well as validity and reliability. Data analysis used PLS-SEM-based path analysis to test the structural relationship between the research variables. The results of the study indicate a positive and significant influence of all exogenous variables on teacher performance, both directly and through self-efficacy as a mediating variable. Talent management has an influence of 0.304, spiritual management of 0.174, and professional competence of 0.341 on teacher performance. Meanwhile, the indirect effect through self-efficacy is also proven to be significant for all exogenous variables, with talent management having an effect of 0.180, spiritual management of 0.152, and professional competence of 0.112. Overall, these findings confirm that teacher performance at MAN 5 Sleman is significantly influenced by managerial factors, professional competence, and the psychological condition of teachers in the form of self-efficacy, which plays a role in strengthening the relationship between these variables.
