Abstract
This research is motivated by the assumption that integrated curriculum management has the potential to improve learning quality with positive impacts on academic achievement, critical thinking skills, and student participation. However, empirical evidence demonstrating a significant influence remains weak. This indicates that although curriculum integration practices are believed to have beneficial effects, other factors may be more dominant, and the mechanisms of influence have not yet been systematically measured. The main problem lies in the lack of full integration between the national curriculum and the pesantren curriculum, which affects learning quality and requires further analysis regarding its impact and influence. This study employs a mixed-methods approach with an explanatory sequential design, beginning with the collection and analysis of quantitative data followed by qualitative data to provide deeper explanation. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation involving respondents such as the principal, teachers, and students. The findings show that: 1) the influence of integrated curriculum management on improving learning quality is not statistically significant. This is evidenced by the regression test in the hypothesis analysis, which produced a significance value of 0.856 (greater than 0.05), thus the null hypothesis (H₀) is accepted. Therefore, integrated curriculum management does not have a direct significant effect on learning quality. This finding is strengthened by the low coefficient of determination (R² = 0.05 or 5%), which is far below the high category (60–79.9%) in the criteria for the coefficient of determination. 2) The curriculum integration process is carried out through systematic stages of planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation, although various challenges remain, such as teacher readiness, diverse student backgrounds, and assessment standards that require further development. 3) The improvement of learning quality at SMA SahabatQu is generally positive, as indicated by student activeness and motivation, stakeholder satisfaction, and enhanced literacy and numeracy skills. However, the effectiveness of learning still needs improvement, particularly in addressing the diversity of student needs.
