Abstract
This research was conducted at Pondok Pesantren (Islamic Boarding School) An-Nur Tangkit Jambi to analyze the strategies employed by the pesantren leader in improving the quality of educational services through enhancing teachers’ performance. The study used a qualitative approach with interviews, observation, and documentation methods. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Firstly, the results of the study indicate that the concept of improving the quality of educational services is built with a focus on the satisfaction of education customers, namely students as the main service recipients and parents as partners of the institution. This is reflected in systematic curriculum planning oriented towards the needs of students, leadership based on respect for each individual, fact-based management through participatory planning, and the implementation of continuous improvement through stakeholder involvement. Secondly, the process of improving teachers’ performance is carried out through the continuous development of teacher skills, including through participation in internal and external training activities. In addition, pesantren leader foster teacher motivation through regular coaching, weekly reflective discussions, and the creation of an environment that supports teacher performance. Thirdly, the results of teachers’ performance improvement on the quality of educational services have had a significant and tangible impact on students and their guardians. Teachers’ performance improvement is reflected in increasingly professional work quality, increased work quantity, more effective use of working time, and stronger cooperation among teachers.
