Abstract

Poverty is a serious problem because it is related to human welfare. Therefore, further research is needed on what factors influence poverty. The purpose of this study is to determine how the Open Unemployment Rate, Human Development Index (HDI) and Population Number influence poverty in districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province. This study is a quantitative study using secondary data from 2013-2023 obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Nusa Tenggara Province. The research method used in this study is panel data regression. The results of this study indicate that the open unemployment rate variable has a significant effect on poverty in districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province, the human development index has a significant effect on poverty in districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province, and the population variable has a significant effect on poverty in districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province. Simultaneously, the Open Unemployment Rate, Human Development Index, and Population Number have a significant effect on poverty in districts and cities in West Nusa Tenggara Province.
