Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for an Islamic philanthropic model that is not only oriented towards social assistance, but also able to answer environmental problems that adapt to the needs of the community. This study examines the application of Islamic philanthropic values, such as alms, infaq, zakat, and waqaf in the implementation of the Waste Alms Movement Program (GSS) at Al-Muharram Mosque. This study aims to describe the implementation of philanthropic values in the GSS program and analyze its impact on society. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach to describe the phenomenon systematically and factually, focusing on the form of implementation of philanthropic values and their impact on society. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that the GSS program has successfully integrated Islamic philanthropic values into structured and sustainable waste management practices. Household waste collected by the community is then processed and used into social funds that are distributed for education, health, and the needs of underprivileged residents. This program has an impact on strengthening social solidarity, empowering the community's economy, and increasing environmental awareness. These findings show that mosques not only function as places of worship, but also as centers of social and environmental activities that are in accordance with the needs of the community, as well as a forum for empowerment that is able to integrate Islamic values with efforts to strengthen social solidarity and sustainable environmental management.
