Abstract

The number of early marriages in Bantul Regency from 2023 to 2024 has decreased from 145 cases of early marriage to 58 cases. However, in the Bantul District area, cases of early marriage from 2023 to 2024 have increased, where in 2023 there were 8 cases of early marriage and in 2024 there was an increase of 10 cases. The majority of these cases occurred due to the application for marriage dispensation, which was triggered by out-of-wedlock pregnancies. Based on the number of increases in the number of early marriage cases, KUA Kapanewon Bantul has made several efforts to prevent the increase in the number of early marriages, namely by providing an understanding of religious values in marriage. This research is a research Field Research or field research, which was carried out at KUA Kapanewon Bantul. This research is descriptive-analytical. The data collection technique by interviewing the Head of KUA who is a reference for the Kapanewon Bantul area, accompanied by documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed qualitatively by inductive method which was then drawn normatively, namely with the Islamic law of Maqasid Ash-Syari ah. The results of the study show that KUA Kapanewon Bantul has made several efforts to reduce the rate of early marriage in the Kapanewon Bantul environment. These offorts include conducting community-wide socialization programs in the form of marriage guidance (Bimwin), school youth guidance (BRUS), marriage-age youth guidance (BRUN), as well as guidance for Sakinah and maslahat families. All of these programs are grounded in perspectives based on the principles of ḥifẓ ad-dīn (protection of religion), ḥifẓ an-nafs (protection of life), ḥifẓ al-„aql (protection of intellect), ḥifẓ an-nasl (protection of lineage), and ḥifẓ al-māl (protection of property).
